The collection, RISE / RUN, is a vibrant representation of fashion sportswear. Fantasy fur, PVC, and over-sized, laser cut sequins mark the hybrid collection of the bold coloured and textured couture and active wear. This innovative collection aims to explore colour synthesis with the use of colour gradients being prominent, The name, ‘RISE / RUN’, evolves from the mathematical formula for the gradient of a straight line on a graph. The designs arose from extensive experimentation, exploring how to replicate these computerised colour gradients in wearable clothing. Resulting in an erratic yet considered combination spray painted PVC and plastic.

The collection explores the boundaries where active wear and couture can coincide. Alice’s design process was informed by sportswear references, seen in the sneakers, oversized PVC duffel bags, large plastic buckles and the distinct sportswear silhouettes. Yet, when paired with the multi-coloured sequins, painted leather and silk twills, the collection achieves is a light-hearted, playful depiction of modern fashion-sportswear.
