"A person predominantly concerned with their own thoughts and feelings rather than with external things. (GRUNT, GRUNT, GRUNT)" is a work I created as a response to personal anxiety and introversion. Each component of the work is a different layer of emotions displayed as a physical force of pressure, or strength. The object is being held in suspense by its own weight. the limbs of the inner components are being held together though tension straps that increase the works overall mass, which could lead to the work ripping itself apart. The center of the work, and by far the most important component, are the six, hundred millimeter screws; these screws keep everything together and allow the work to exist. Each component is representasional of a panic attack and each part is dependent on one another but it's the centre, or the inner strength, that allows the person to maintain their composure. As a central theme to my work, I try to explore my overwhelming emotions though humors and visually poetic sculpture.
