'Asylum Found' aims to provide infrastructure that will enable the ongoing development of cultural settlements that accommodate Australia's displaced people during their processing period. The concept of 'Integration through Plurality' allows a continual turnover of people from all cultures to practice their way of life while, in turn, showcasing these practices to the Island's visitors.

The settlements are located in the Island's cleared land pockets. Each settlement also has its own productive land parcel that can be cultivated specifically for the benefit of its inhabiting culture. The initial settlement patches can hold all the current detainees in Australia's detention centres, while the remaining patch network can accommodate the rapid or slow influx or decline of any culture in the future. This system capitalises on the Island's opportunities to provide a place where these people can find their asylum during the refugee processing period.
