Inspired by a multidisciplinary creative background, Monomania: A Technical Obsession is a one of a kind, fully functioning wooden pinball machine. Bringing together interactive, technical and graphic design skills, the machines table surface is built to the specifications of QUT’s “The Block” and is a 1:25 scale model of the building.

Made entirely of recycled & re-purposed materials the playing field is strategically decorated to ensure maximum game time and showcases the past exhibition installation ‘Departures 15’. When all three obstacles are solved, the machine reveals a further message in the form of an information design displaying the skills used to make the machine.

Monomania is more than a game it allows an audience to get up close and personal with an exhibition as; well as providing a contemporary user experience long after the show has ended.
